Folk Art Prints - Julie Powell Design

I have been having this yearning to combine my background in textiles, knitting and fabric print/design with my loose, washy watercolors. I would like to do a series of these. The patterns- stripes, polka dots, small floral designs- flatten the painting and make it more “decorative.” The effect- a combination of naive folk art with loose expression and color- is a pleasing balance to me. What do you think?
