More yummy necklaces for my show this weekend- Two with beaded beads and a variety of gemstones, and one Anasazi necklace in the “Papaya” color palette.

I bought these flowers, thinking only about the beautiful vase created by glass artist, Bruce Stowell – http://www.glasstrianglestudio.com/bruces_glass – and the colors that would sing together with it’s cranberry, raspberry reds and soft jewel tones.

Here are 3 new necklaces that I am preparing for my show next weekend, The Denver Arts Festival-  http://www.denverartsfestival.com  . They blend complex and textural beaded beads with beautiful stones like smoky quartz, jade, apatite, amazonite , citrine, raw amber, yellow turquoise, fluorite, hematite, pyrite, prehnite, silver and brass. All are about 18″ in length.

I’ve taken the form of my new Labyrinth necklace and made it in a bracelet. A fun vehicle for playful color…very light and summery.

My son sent a photo of his recent harvest from his garden in Eugene, OR. The lettuce looks like some kind of beautiful (and delicious) green flower.

Every year they open with jubilation.  Incredible to see that Nature has created such a thing of beauty. Such saturation and striking contrast of the rich red against the spring green.

I love stitching these one-of-a-kind embroidered cuffs. They are somewhat spontaneous, thought I do tend to map out with a Sharpie on the backing- for a template of the general composition. This is the second incarnation of the new Cube/Beaded Bead necklace. The colors really inspired me- all those earthy terra cottas, brick, ambers and reds playing against gray green and turquoise. Each side of each cube is different- a true color exercise. The flat spacer beads in between are matte carnelian, with a transparent cast….

From the arrangement in my locker room at my gym, Rally Sport. Always a pleasure to swim a mile and get inspired to create at the same time.

The irises are splendid. Everywhere in Boulder.
