A third winter landscape of Wonderland Lake, where I live in Boulder.

After working many days on it, I just completed this new necklace. It’s all shades of warm silver and ivory in glass. It is a free form Herringbone and Peyote tube that has a dynamic kind of quality- hoping to create a kind of movement through space. More of a sculpture than just a neck…

The skies above the lake are shadowed with slate blue and gray. There is a beautiful conversation between the frozen lake, the hills and the clouds.

This cuff and Square Knot necklace were inspired by the colors of tropical frogs and complementary colors- olive/persimmon, mustard yellow, black and taupe. It’s all about the balance of color, but I love the funky play between the tones. Also: very wearable.

Wonderland Lake, my back yard, was half covered this week with ice and half with water. The sunset reflections of the foothills in the lake made puzzling shapes and colors- dipping between reflection and opaque surface.
