The weather has been beautiful in Colorado as spring comes tip-toeing in. Chilly at night, but sunny during the day with forget-me-nots, daffodils and forsythia just beginning to emerge.

Yesterday the weather in Boulder was strangely warm and beautiful. Heavenly, in fact. My husband and I ventured forth on a two hour bike ride along trails and then went east towards the reservoir. The cerulean blue of the water against the copen blue of the sky was almost too much to take.

Stopping in to get coffee on a busy Saturday, I was struck by the beauty of this arrangement. In its polka dot planter, a little label credited its artistry to “Fiori”, my most favorite floral designers in Boulder.

  It’s been a little while since I have posted in my blog. I had some fierce deadlines to contend with and a lot of work to ship. But I’m back. Here are a few floral studies I did over the last couple of weeks.

I finished this little piece today. It’s an armature of hammered, oxidized Sterling silver stretched with woven bead work. It’s light and casual and adjustable. I am rocking on this idea of stretching the fabric of my beadwork across wire.

We had a week or two of Spring-like weather. Yesterday Winter returned, quickly freezing over the lake and taking the color out of everything with its cold blanket.
