I am finishing my special orders for 2017 and moving on to designs for 2018. This piece is my Draped Necklace- and I have made a few of them in this abalone palette. Hi Julie, I’ve been admiring your exquisite jewelry for year. Aside from the original designs and amazing combinations of gems and seed beads, one of the most beautiful and intriguing qualities of your work is the colourways. Since you are an artist, I imagine that choosing colours is an innate ability for you. But for me the most difficult thing is simply ‘which colour should I put next’. Even when I choose the colours and hues I want to use, I have a terrible time deciding how long to make one section and which colour to put next. At the moment I am working on a herringbone 2-strand necklace inspired by the many necklaces I’ve see on your website and facebook page. If you have the time and are willing to help me learn, I’ll send you some photos. Regards, Rikki Blitt

Color is the part of creating that just flows from my heart and I can’t pinpoint why I do what I do! But I’d be delighted to see what you’re up to! Thanks!
